Performance

Project: Oscillations
Performance in collaboration with the musician Sunny Graves

Through the presentation of the performative object that guides the performance, the work examines the idea of the skin being used as a “control surface”. The performers use the central piece as an instrument to both guides and are guided, depending on the variations that may occur at each specific moment.

The formal presentation of the object is the image of a frecked back, its freckles perforated to allow light to reach the inside of the instrument. It will be affected by all the atmospheric conditions (light, heat, pressure) that make up the space where the live performance takes place. Underlining the importance of “now” in how the action works itself out.
