with Alba G.Corral. Using
hacked circuits by Ricard Sola.

The shape of a circle was used to work around the idea of protected spaces. Using it as a gird reference, the performance was a live first act between the artists Alba G. Corral and Julia Mariscal. Alba G.Corral presented the live visuals using processing. Julia Mariscal peformed on the floor space producing the sound by using a combination of microphones attached to different materials and hacked circuits by Ricard Sola. The circle is a shape that appears as a symbol of self-defense; the circle is the shape that the warrior draws using his weapon, around himself. Draws a direct relation with the body. The length of the arm + the weapon will define the diameter of the circumference. This very graphic image highlights a huge issue in our contemporary society.
